Sam Brunstein
On Friday July 23rd 1998, our great friend Sammy passed away. He had been battling
a relapse of brain cancer, and the disease that racked his body just became too much for him.
This web site has been and will always be dedicated to him. Without his original
involvement and stoke planetsurf.net would have never gotten off the ground.
The only thing Sam cared about more than surfing was his friends and family. His generosity made
him well liked by all that met him. He was very well loved by his friends, family,
wife, daughter and son. The surfers of North Miami Beach, Florida held a very moving paddle-out
for him a few weeks after his departure. I'll try and find a picture to post.
WE MISS YOU SAMMY! ALOHA BROTHER

Playa Escondida, C.R.
Playa Escondida is predominantly a killer horseshoe left break. The beach access is private, and most
people would die to surf it. We surfed it 4 days by ourselves basically like this, consistent chest to
overhead, breaking best around dead low tide.
