Sunday, September 26, 2004 (Seignosse, France) The Quiksilver Pro in France was today postponed due to small surf. The Foster's men's ASP World Championship Tournament (WCT) remained on hold this morning, but organizers ultimately decided to wait for an expected increase in swell before continuing. An Evian Expression Session is scheduled for later today.
Clean 2ft (0.6m) waves were on offer along Hossegor's main stretch of coastline. An Australian contingent headed by 1999 world champion Mark Occhilupo, together with France's sole representative on the WCT, Eric Rebiere, were among the early pack out at 'La Graviere' . just to the north of event headquarters at 'La Nord'.

Trent Munro (Scott's Head, AUS) scored the barrel of the session, disappearing for a good couple of seconds inside his crystal cylinder, yet the inconsistency of such rides prompted the lay-day.
Last night Quiksilver team rider Ross Clarke-Jones (AUS) premiered his new surf film "The Sixth Element" at Hossegor's Place des Landais. A big crowd gathered to watch the incredible feats of the big wave surfing legend, while another group met nearby for their regular round of 'Tour Poker'. Six-time world champion Kelly Slater (FL, USA) surprised all by actually winning the biggest pot to gain some added Euros.
The Evian Expression Session is scheduled for 3pm at 'La Graviere', with US$10,000 up for grabs. Utilizing the strong Sunday beach crowd and chance for the world's best to cut loose in small beach break conditions, an incredible show is guaranteed. Results will be posted in tomorrow's release.
