Thursday, May 27, 2004 (Biarritz, France) Today it was announced that the ASP World Longboard Championship will be decided at one event in 2004.
The Nokia Biarritz Surfing Festival, July 10 - 18, will offer US$35,000 prize money and more importantly, the winner of the event will be crowned World Champion at the ASP crowning of the World Champion's Banquet at Jupiters Casino on Australia's Gold Coast.
The Nokia Biarritz Surfing Festival is a long-running event on the longboard calendar, showcasing both the competitive sport and the culture of surfing. Event founder Robert Rabagny promises this year's edition of the surfing festival to feature the rich cultural theme of past events, with the added spice of a world title showdown between the world's elite longboard aficionados.
